Tuscaloosa County EMA says the contest will run through Feb. 28 and winners will be randomly drawn from a pool of participants who give the correct responses to the questions posted on social media. The questions will be posted each day on Facebook, beginning at about 9 a.m. and ending at 5 p.m.
The Alert Works radios were purchased by the Tuscaloosa County Local Emergency Planning Committee and will come with batteries included. Tuscaloosa County EMA will also program the radios for each winner.
In order to win, participants must live in Tuscaloosa County, show a driver's license at pick up from EMA and must be signed up through TuscALERT, which can be done through the EMA website. Radios will be limited to one per household.
