Description
The Miller Lumber Company is a family-owned business operating in Central Oregon since 1911. Miller Lumber is seeking a safety-oriented Class A CDL drivers for our Bend location to make deliveries to residential and commercial job sites across the region, typically utilizing truck mounted forklifts. An application can be found at our Bend location or at Requirements: - Have current Class A CDL or eligible to obtain immediately. - Clean driving record. - Able to repetitively lift up to 50 pounds. - Knowledge of safety procedures while performing driving and material handling tasks - Team player and excellent customer service skills Preferred: - 2+ year CDL driving experience - Forklift certification (can be acquired on the job) - Lumber, hardware, and other building material knowledge is a plus, but not required if motivated to learn. Job Duties: - Material deliveries utilizing company trucks with truck mounted forklifts. - Acts as customer service liaison. Handles customer concerns and helps to resolve issues as they arise. - When not on the road, assisting in the lumber yard - loading customers, staging orders, and any other tasks needed in the operation of the yard. - Typical delivery destinations will be in the tri-county region of Central Oregon. We offer a competitive wage, depending on experience, with flexible scheduling and the opportunity for overtime pay. This is a full-time position (though part time will be considered) with a 90 day trial period. Shifts run between 7:00am and 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday.
