ABOUT THIS EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY We are looking for an individual who is looking for a part-time job as a glasswasher for our lab at the SODO neighborhood location. ABOUT YOU If you are seeking a part-time job and you enjoy providing essential services in support of research/manufacturing associates and scientists, you handle changing priorities with ease, you are punctual, you can work independently accomplishing set-daily tasks under general supervision, and you take pride in doing a job well, then we encourage you to apply for this position. Experience and knowledge needed to be successful in this position High school diploma or GED required. Ability to adhere to documented procedures. Familiar with Microsoft Windows and have basic-user level computer skills. Some experience using Microsoft Outlook preferred, but not required. Must speak and comprehend spoken English language and be able to read and write in English. Job duties include Collecting, sterilizing, and washing all new, dirty, or contaminated glassware and supplies from labs. Handling biohazardous waste for decontamination in steam sterilizers. Maintaining area equipment and the inventory of sterile glassware and supplies. Distributing glassware to lab areas. Work environment information Position responsibilities include work in a Biosafety Level 2 lab (BSL-2.) Work requirements include the ability to lift and move 50 pounds.
