Landscape, Grounds Care and Farm Help Wanted Full Time or Part Time Position Available on a Family Farm. Available to start immediately! Positive attitude, honesty, a willingness to listen, learn, and follow through with work is most important! The ideal candidate for this position should be willing and able to work independently. In this position, the employee's role will include lawn care, outdoor work in landscape and grounds upkeep. Depending on experience and desire, it may also include rice & orchard crop production assistance, including equipment operation, setup, and maintenance. An employee in this position will operate lawncare and landscape tools and equipment. It may also include, farm machinery, and equipment during the growing season, and assists with the maintenance of farm equipment. The employee may perform other farm labor as necessary and as dependent on the season & weather. Responsibilities: Equipment Operation, Cleaning, and Maintenance • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all processes and equipment related lawn care such as mowers, leaf blowers, trimmers, sprinklers, and their operation and maintenance. The employee, depending on experience & interest, may assist other with planting, irrigation, and other farming activities as needs arise on the farm. Equipment Maintenance • Ensure the proper care and maintenance of all equipment and vehicles. • Perform daily equipment service checks a necessary or required. • Assists with routine equipment setup and repairs. Safety • Follow safety programs that provide a safe and clean workplace for employees within regulations of all OSHA local, state, and federal regulations and agencies. Other • Perform manual labor tasks as needed, including ability to lift 50lbs, standing, and climbing steps. • Perform other assignments from time to time as requested by supervisor. • Basic English, reading, writing, and math skills necessary. • Knowledge of equipment maintenance. • Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, atv's, and other farm vehicles. • Ability to identify equipment services needs or issues. • Ability to work in an outdoor environment where it is required to perform different job duties. • Demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and work will with limited supervision. Pay Depending on experience. Bonus Program and Overtime Possibilities. Position is full time, but can be flexible. Ability to work in varying weather conditions & outdoors is necessary.
