Job Description We are looking for a thorough Part-Time Maintenance Technician to undertake the responsibility to preserve the good condition and functionality of premises. Maintain clubhouse facility and equipment. Plumbing, painting, minor electrical, flooring, door and window maintenance, roof and ceiling maintenance. Due to COVID-19, job duties also include cleaning and disinfecting areas of the club daily. This position has the possibility of becoming Full-Time in the future. Must be available to work weekends and holidays. 5 - 8 hour shifts (depending on the day) 20-25 hours per week. Responsibilities -Maintains and makes general repairs to the plumbing fixtures, furniture, woodwork, electrical systems, appliances, ventilation systems and building structures of the club. -Maintains the air conditioning, refrigerators, ice makers and exhaust ventilation. -Performs routine preventive maintenance (PM) required by club’s PM procedures. -Installs tile, drywall; makes grouting repairs, patches walls and paves brick. -Repairs small motors. -Attends departmental staff meetings. -Completes other appropriate assignments made by the Repair and Maintenance Manager. Skills -Proven experience as maintenance technician -Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods -Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices -Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills -Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime -Basic knowledge of trades to understand repair problems and make minor repairs on outlets, ballasts and plumbing fixtures. -Wood and Tile floor maintenance and installation of floor tiles is a plus. -Interior and exterior painting experience. -Window glass replacement. -Door hardware and lock repair and replacement. -Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations. Physical Requirement and Work Environment -Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. -Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. -Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. -Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment which is typical of this position. -Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping and pulling. -Frequent repetitive motions. -Continuous standing and walking.
