Hi-Tech Automotive is a family owned and operated automotive shop that has been in Austin, TX since 1987. We work on all makes and models. High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred; ASE certified preferred; At least 5 years independent automotive repair Experience Required A positive work attitude and a clean DMV report are a must! Responsibilities: -Work with manager and other mechanics to diagnose and repair the mechanical and electrical components of vehicles. -Performing test drives, inspections, and other diagnostic tests on vehicles to identify where problems exists and determine which parts need to be repaired or replaced. -Completing preventative maintenance on vehicles, such as performing oil changes, flushing and replacing fluids, and replacing brakes. -Inspecting internal systems and controls to ensure the vehicle is operating properly and in compliance with state regulations. -Using shop equipment as instructed, performing regular maintenance and repairs as needed. -Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade -Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately Requirements: -Proven experience as auto mechanic, at least 5 years -Ability to work on all makes and models. -Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles -Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods -Ability to handle various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. lift) -Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc. -Must have own tools -Must have a valid driver's license with good driving record Job Type: Full-time (guaranteed 40 hours per week) Plus Overtime Salary: Will be based on experience & proficiency Experience: Automotive Technician: 5 year (Preferred) License: Valid Driver's License (Required) Work Location: 8844 HWY 290 W (Austin, TX, 78736) Call (512) 288-0022, or email me for a meeting.
