Job Details: Description OVERVIEW: The Yard Hand is responsible for assisting with carrying out tasks required to successfully achieve the service department objectives KEY TASKS: - Haul, block and launch boats - Preform general boat maintenance and service work to include, but not limited to waxing, bottom paint, spring commissioning, and battery replacement - Work closely with service manager and assist fellow crew members as needed - Operate yard machinery including hydraulic trailer, power washer, skid steer, etc. - Grounds maintenance and marina cleanliness - Ability to work overtime when required - Carry out additional duties as assigned by supervisor TECHNICAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: - Ability to ascend and descend ladder - Ability to work in all weather conditions - Ability to work in confined spaces - Ability to lift 50 pounds - Basic boat handling skills a plus OTHER IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS: - Positive attitude and willingness to learn - Ability to provide exceptional customer service and an understanding of customers’ needs - Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills while working both independently and within a team context - Organizational skills are a must - Detail orientated and ability to multitask are essential skills - Eager to engage in a growing, fast paced, technology first company KEY RESULT AREAS: - Internal and external customer satisfaction and enthusiasm - Accurate level of service-done right the first time - 100% pride in work; always supplying a complete and “0” defect product to the customer.
