We are a Norwalk, CT based faux floral company with 10 employees that designs and manufactures luxury artificial flower arrangements, plants and trees. Our products are sold online, at high-end retail stores and through interior designers. In business for over 20 years, our first faux floral collection was launched by Bergdorf Goodman in New York City and we continue to serve discerning clients throughout the United States and the world. As an Operations & Shipping Associate, you will be undertaking administrative tasks related to our internal operations including managing production schedules and inventory, as well as the shipping of our product to our customers on a daily basis. This job is part-time at 20 hours a week, with the opportunity for more hours during high volume weeks, and reports to the company’s CEOs. Room for advancement based on candidate. Duties / Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): - Daily and Weekly Inventory Management – manage inventory levels of materials; place orders with vendors; communicate inventory ETA’s with production manager; create materials lists and order sheets for collections; assist in bi-annual physical inventory - Shipping – create sales orders and shipping labels; hand-write thank you notes and gift cards for all online orders; organize and mail marketing collateral to customers - Production – track production of orders; communicate lead times with customer service. Communications – occasionally handle incoming calls and respond to questions from customers Requirements: - Computer literacy: QuickBooks Pro, Microsoft Office Suite - Written and verbal communication skills; attractive handwriting; working knowledge of Spanish a plus - Accuracy and attention to detail - Analytical and math skills - Works well in with team members - Knows how to take initiative and ask questions - Highly organized and responds quickly to requests - Efficient and productive; completes tasks in a timely manner - Ability to lift heavy boxes Preferred: - Associate’s degree or higher - Experience in high-end retail and/or product manufacturing environment To apply, please send an email with a brief description of your background, why you would like this position, and attach a copy of your resume.
