Description
HCS Renewable Energy is looking for a General Laborer to take up manual labor tasks and support operations in worksites. One of the most important general laborer responsibilities is to keep the site clean and safe.
We’d like you to have stamina and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. You should be able to concentrate on performing your tasks and commit to safety rules. If you fit this description, and you’re also interested in doing tough but important work, we’d like to meet you.
Responsibilities
Setting up the project for construction to begin
Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks (e.g. digging, stacking up products)
Put up warning signs (e.g. signposts, cones) for vehicles and passersby
Help with setting up and transferring temporary structures (e.g. scaffolding)
Installation of panels with training coming from Foreman.
Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 75 pounds etc.)
Good hand-eye coordination
Punctuality
Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus
Communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to safety rules
Apprenticeship or specialization is an asset, but not necessary.
Clean up worksites from hazardous or obsolete material
Steel toed boots
OSHA 10 Certification (If you do not have OSHA 10, we will pay for you to get trained and earn your Certification!)
Experience:
Construction: 1 year (Preferred)
Roofing or general construction or home improvement: 1 year (Preferred)
Electrical: 1 year (Preferred)
Prior solar install: 1 year (Preferred)
Schedule:
Monday to Saturday
10-hour shift (6:45 AM- 5PM)
40 hour work week
**No Per Diem**
