Looking to adopt a small to medium sized dog

My family has recent suffered a loss. We are looking to adopt a small or medium sized dog. We'd prefer an older or lower energy dog, but a puppy would be nice as well. I would absolutely love a special needs dog, a retired breeder, or even an oops-pup. I am a work at home mom (since before Covid19) and will remain an at-home mom. With our recent loss, I can't be at home by myself. In the warmer months we spend most of our time relaxing outdoors. The dog will never be alone, and will be very well cared for.
