I hate to come here especially at the last minute asking for this sort of assistance but what other options do I have? Ive gotten behind on one bill in particular. Alabama power. I have been struggling with this bill since November. Now it looks like I've finally lost the battle. I have a problem with the post office delivering my mail on time. This has been an issue I've dealt with off and on for years where I live. I've called and complain many times and I've spoken with many people high up on the ladder. The issue still keeps happening. Anyway, today I received my disconnect notice in the mail from alabama power. I should have gotten the letter on the 24th but instead I get it two days before the power is due to be cut off. I have young children who do virtual school during the day and I need power for them. If it was me alone I would suffer until things got better but that's hard to do with children. It's cold and no power would mean us having to sleep in this cold house all day everyday. We have no relatives we can go and live with. I'm here begging for help!! Please!! I can provide proof of what I'm saying, I have the bill showing all needed info on it, I can show proof of all the small but steady payments I've been making, anything you need.
