SARASOTA COUNTY, FL — Sarasota County has opted out of the statewide vaccination registration website, which launched Friday, according to an email from the county. The Department of Health in Sarasota County will continue to use its new Everbridge vaccination registration system, which the county started using Jan. 20. As of Friday at 2:45 p.m., there were 106,316 accounts registered in the county's vaccine system. Registering through the state database doesn't ensure an individual will receive a vaccine in Sarasota County. Those who wanted to receive a vaccine in Sarasota County should continue to use the Everbridge system, the county said. Sarasota County's new registration system can be found on the Sarasota DOH website. People can also register by calling 941-861-VAXS (8297). Like what you're reading?
