LANE STEET PROJECT Presents :Community Clean-Up. In honor of Black History Month, LANE STREET PROJECT Presents "Community Clean-Up" LANE STREET PROJECT is dedicated to the restoration of three historic African-American cemeteries in Wilson NC and to the preservation of our community's culture and history. Join LANE STREET PROJECT as we work together to rediscover heritage, honor legacy, and restore dignity in efforts save Wilson's Historic Black Cemeteries. Grab a coat, some gloves, a MASK, and come out to the Community Clean-Up DETAILS: MARK YOUR CALENDAR: LANE STREET PROJECT will host a Community Clean-Up event EVERY 1st and 3rd Saturday. Sign up to attend Feb.4th, Feb.26th, March 6th, or March 26th. Next, drop in for the 2 hour shift that works best. Shift 1 is from 9 am to 11 am and Shift 2 is from Noon to 2 pm.LET'S COME TOGETHER: Please share and encourage friends, family, organizations, teams, or churches to support the LANE STREET PROJECT. This experience fosters teamwork, strengthens community bonds, all while making a visible and lasting impact to Wilson County.BRING EQUIPMENT: Volunteers are welcomed to bring hand tools, jugs of water, gloves, and trash bags, and other useful landscaping tools to ease clean-up effortSTAY SAFE: All volunteers MUST wear masks and follow all state and local mandates, as this will be a socially distanced event.
