-11 month old male, Anatolian Shepherd mix, mom was Anatolian- Dad was supposedly Newfoundland -not neutered -has grown up around one other male dog -not sure how he would do around cats -has grown up around children ages 1-11. -potty trained We have failed to make him obedient. If he gets out of the backyard, he runs around the neighborhood and does not listen. He runs out the front door if he gets the chance. He will not come, stop, or respond to treats if he gets out. He barks at any individual he comes in contact with and terrifies them. He eventually gets tired and you get the chance to grab his harness, put the leash on and lead him back home. He does not come back on his own. He is very sweet inside the home and loves to lay and snuggle with someone. He loves to be around people. He loves to play tug of war. He will sit when he is inside the house for a treat. He pulls on the leash when walking. We have failed to teach him good manners inside and outside of the house. He jumps on the furniture and gives zero personal space. He needs someone willing to take the time to train him. I have no doubt he could be a wonderful dog. We don’t have to resources to train him appropriately.
