BEL AIR, MD — A vehicle crashed into the Harford County government office building Friday afternoon, according to police. At 12:40 p.m., two vehicles crashed, and one continued on into Harford County's administrative office building at 220 South Main Street, officials reported. A black car headed north on Main Street appeared to have run a red light and was hit by an oncoming SUV from Churchville Road, said Patti Parker, spokesperson for the town of Bel Air. The crash caused the black car to veer into the building, Parker told Patch, noting the incident was under investigation. Nobody was injured, according to police, who said there was minor structural damage to the building. A fire hydrant also appeared to have been run over. Authorities encouraged drivers to be careful in town, particularly during peak times. "Remember to use caution while driving in the downtown Bel Air area," the Bel Air Police Department advised, "especially during the lunchtime hour as traffic often gets congested."
