Description

Press release from the City of Cedar Falls: January 29, 2021 View the statement from the Cedar Falls Human Rights Commission below: The Cedar Falls Human Rights Commission condemns racism and hate in any form. It is obvious that our community and youth are not immune from racism and racist incitement and that we must have a quick response to these acts of hate. We strongly encourage a thorough investigation of the recent events in the Cedar Falls School District. We must have ongoing action as a commission, a city, and a community to combat all acts of discrimination. The CFHRC will be meeting to discuss action moving forward and recommendations for change to our response protocol and procedures. We extend our support to citizens who have concerns regarding racism, exclusion, discrimination and equity and would like to engage in meaningful dialogue surrounding these issues. The Cedar Falls Human Rights Commission welcomes action step suggestions from our citizens of Cedar Falls. This press release was produced by the City of Cedar Falls.
