Press release from the U.S. Attorney's Office, District of Colorado: January 27, 2021 DENVER – United States Attorney Jason Dunn announced that Tanya Bui, age 23, of Littleton has been charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute as well as possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking offense. Ms. Bui is scheduled to have her initial appearance in the United States District Court for the District of Colorado on Friday afternoon. According to facts contained in the affidavit in support of the criminal complaint, evidence supporting the drug and firearm charges was obtained as part of a murder and arson investigation, which culminated in a search of a Littleton property. During Wednesday's search, investigators allegedly located a large quantity of marijuana and a firearm in a room identified as belonging to Ms. Bui. As recounted in the affidavit, investigators previously obtained social media posts and messages which indicated drug trafficking activity and were attributed to Ms. Bui. The charges in the complaint are allegations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. This matter is being investigated by the ATF and the Denver Police Department's Homicide Unit. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Celeste Rangel.
