Description
MADISON, NJ — The Madison ice rink provides winter recreation for the community, but it seems some want to throw it all away. The borough has received multiple reports of rocks, logs and other objects getting thrown onto the Rosedale Skating Rink.
"We are kindly asking all residents who use or visit the rink to adhere to the rink rules at all times," the borough said in a Facebook message, "which ensures that the rink can remain open and safe for all."
Madison opened its outdoor skating rink Dec. 22 for the season. Lights are kept on until 10 p.m., and the park closes until 6 a.m. each day.
Skating when the rink is closed can result in surface damage and jeopardize future availability.
