The Root of Soul: J19th Fest 2021 will be a groundbreaking and generational event for the Greater Charleston Metropolitan Area and beyond! This festival is open to all cultures, but will specifically target the national African American community and seek to galvanize the rising awareness, popularity and pride in celebrating the Juneteenth holiday. During this event, and as a sobering reflection of Charleston serving as the number one slave port sending enslaved people to various destinations, “All roads lead to Charleston, SC”. We will tap into the richness of the history, culture and flavor of The Lowcountry. This event will be branded as a yearly destination for the celebration of the Juneteenth holiday! **COVID-19** We are planning this event with the reality that Covid-19 is still impacting our country. Our hope is that with the vaccine and safety focus, this event will be timed just right for us to get together as a community! Additionally, the venue is massive with tremendous outdoor space and can safely accommodate thousands of attendees with social distancing. However, in the case of limited capacity, tickets will be honored in the order that they are purchased. Should circumstances call for the event to be cancelled, ticket holders will have the option to request a refund or keep ticket(s) for the following year.
