dog who’s love is strong but needs some work

his name is tahoe. he’s about 2 years old and we got him about a half a year ago, he was starved and we think he was abused. he has bitten two men who have walked into our house who have had hats on, and barks when doors are knocked on. he has developed attachments with everyone here and would protect them with his life. we’re not sure how well he is with other dogs but he gets along with our pit jessie just fine. they play and he acts like a normal dog as long as there’s not a lot of panic going on. he’s good with kids. it would be better if he could go some place to be trained, even without training he’d be good in a home with no other dogs as a guard dog. he makes connections with people he recognizes and loves cuddling, we can’t handle him with our pit. maybe he’d be a great farm dog, a open field would be nice for him he’s very energetic. he listens well and is potty trained. 50$ re-homing fee and he will come with bowls and collar a leash and his blankets. he just needs time and patience. i really want him to go to a good home. please text me at
