As we gear up for our eighth season, we are constantly reminded that we are a creative hub for so many to express themselves, take risks, explore new interests, learn, grow and have fun! Having studied theater andimprovisation in the Chicago area, Mr. Colbert is well aware of the power and importancethat the arts hold in our communities, and together we can make dreams come true!" The Lemont-based organization was founded in 2013 by dedicated residents and experienced theater professionals, a release from the organization states. Each summer, the group produces a main stage musical as well as an acting workshop for children. The group has also offered programs for individuals with physical and cognitive disabilities. The AmeriCone Dream fund was created in 2007, when Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream created the flavor to honor Colbert. According to the release, Colbert donates the profits from the sale of the flavor to charity and established the fund. LMCT was caught the eye of Dan Campbell, a member of The Late Show staff who has a connection with Hutchison. "We are so thankful that Dan nominated LMCT," Hutchison said in a release.
