Description
Come hear Heather Hawkins share about how she came to know Christ after having an abortion at CHOICES as a young woman. * MASK REQUIRED * The theme for the Spring 2021 40 Days for Life campaign is "Mountain Movers." We know that with faith, we can move mountains. With the Lord on our side, anything is possible. With faithful prayer and fasting, we believe we can see an end to abortion in our community! At the kickoff rally, you'll hear from our keynote speaker, Heather Hawkins, who had an abortion at CHOICES years ago as a young woman. Now, Heather’s life has been restored by the mercy and grace of God. She was a baby in the womb when Roe v. Wade was passed. Facing her first unplanned pregnancy at age 20, out of fear and panic she traveled to Memphis and aborted her first daughter. Her life was in ruins and devastation after. She spent 10 years in alcoholism and drug addiction. Then the Lord blessed her with a second unplanned pregnancy. Her daughter Grace brought her to the salvation of the Lord. Now she spends her life to restore those affected by abortion leading a ministry called Mercy’s Garden dedicated to her unborn daughter. She stands in the gap for those facing unplanned pregnancies helping to lead them to life. God‘s mercy called her back to Memphis after 25 years to turn the graves into gardens. Bethany Wade, Executive Director of Memphis Coalition for Life and Memphis 40 Days for Life Campaign Leader, will also share details about the upcoming 40 Days for Life campaign, specifically about where to park and stand, what safety protocols we are following during the COVID-19 pandemic, and how this campaign is important to help save lives and change hearts in our community. You'll also have the opportunity to sign up for vigil hours, meet representatives from the various pregnancy resource clinics in Memphis, and get a 40 Days for Life t-shirt! Seats are limited to 75 people, and RSVP is required. Reserve your ticket today! The event will take place in the fellowship hall at Riveroaks Reformed Presbyterian Church. Chairs will be spaced out in rows according to COVID-19 safety regulations, and we ask that everyone in attendance wears a mask.
