MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Know an amazing person 19 years of age and younger? Now through Monday, Feb. 1 at 5 p.m. is the time to submit your nomination for Southbay magazine's "20 Under 20" annual feature. The magazine will publish the article in its April issue. To be eligible, candidates must be between 8 and 19 years of age and must live or attend school in the South Bay cities of Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, El Segundo, Torrance and on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Previous "20 Under 20" features have included Manhattan Beach residents and Mira Costa High School students, including Kirra Troeger, the first person with Down syndrome to make the Los Angeles County Junior LifeguardsHailey Staszkow, who founded a theater nonprofit for young adults with developmental disabilitiesRyan Rossow, founder and president of the South Bay Food InitiativeMaya Brawer-Cohen, a full-time intern at the UCLA Brain Mapping Center who has traveled to 40 countries To nominate your candidate, click here and fill out the online submission form.
