PITTSBURGH, PA -- When the Allegheny County Health Department announced that coronavirus vaccines would be available this coming week at the DoubleTree Hotel in Monroeville, it took less than 30 minutes before all the appointment slots were filled. More people have been vaccinated in Allegheny County than any county in the state. But county officials admitted to being frustrated over the lack of vaccine supply and not knowing how many doses will be available in any given week. If you were one of the people who attempted to register for the vaccine after that less than half-hour window firmly shut, you probably share that frustration.
