Bucks County Gym Owner Charged In Capitol Riots

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Two Pennsylvania woman were arrested Friday in connection with the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection, including a woman from Bucks County. The U.S. Department of Justice has filed charges against Dawn Bancroft and Diana Santos-Smith. Bancroft is the owner of Cross Fit Sine-Pari in Plumstead Township, The Intelligencer reported. The FBI received a tip on Jan. 12 of a selfie video from Bancroft wearing a MAGA hat while she and another woman, later identified as Santos-Smith, attempting to exit the U.S. Capitol building. During the video, Bancroft said, "We broke into the Capitol...we got inside, we did our part." She then stated, "We were looking for Nancy to shoot her in the friggin' brain but we didn't find her." Federal investigators believe Bancroft was referring to U.S House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Dawn Bancroft is pictured in a criminal complaint filed by the U.S. Department of Justice. On Jan. 20, the FBI interviewed Santos-Smith, who said she and Bancroft did not have a planned agenda of entering the Capitol but followed the crowd after hearing people saying "they're letting us in." After seeing Bancroft enter the building, Santos-Smith said she knew they should not be there, and they left through the same broken window in which they entered. In an interview with Bancroft that same day, admitting to entering the Capitol building through that broken window. She estimated she was inside the building for about 20 to 30 seconds. The U.S. Department of Justice have charged both women with knowingly entering or remaining any restricted building our grounds without lawful authority, knowingly engaging in disorderly or disruptive conduct in any Restricted Building or Grounds, and Violent Entry and Disorderly Conduct on Capitol Grounds. The FBI has arrested at least 150 people to date in connection with the Capitol siege.
