FREMONT, CA — One of two suspects was arrested earlier this month after allegedly holding a victim at gunpoint and stealing a PlayStation 5 from him in Fremont in November, police said. On Nov. 12, Fremont police officers responded to a robbery that occurred in the parking lot in the 35000 block of Fremont Boulevard at about 8:30 p.m. The victim had advertised his PlayStation 5 for sale on the internet and agreed to meet the buyer. The buyer, later identified as 19-year-old Lucio Soto of Richmond, arrived and was shown the PlayStation 5 in the trunk of the victim's vehicle. In the meantime, a black sedan pulled up and the driver pointed a handgun at the victim. Soto subsequently took the PlayStation 5 and entered the suspect vehicle before fleeing the area. Detectives learned that Soto was on probation for firearm charges in addition to having previous arrests for home invasion robbery, robbery, and possession of stolen property. On Jan. 12, undercover detectives identified Soto at his residence in Richmond. With the assistance of the Richmond Police Department, the detectives contacted Soto and arrested him. He was interviewed by detectives and was later booked at Santa Rita Jail. Detectives continue to work on leads to identify the second suspect, the driver of the sedan. He is described as a Hispanic man in his 20s with a light complexion and average build, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds, and was last seen wearing a blue surgical mask and a red polo. The suspect vehicle Soto and the driver fled in is described as a newer black sedan, possibly an Infiniti Q60 with black rims and tinted windows.
