Press release from the City of Cupertino: January 28, 2021 In partnership with the County of Santa Clara, Public Health Department, and Valley Medical Center, COVID-19 Test are available to the City of Cupertino at the Cupertino Senior Center, 21251 Stevens Creek Boulevard. Appointments can be made from 9:30 a.m. through 3:45 p.m. Appointments are available for everyone. You do not need to be a senior or a member of the Senior Center. The test site at Cupertino Senior Center is designed for people without symptoms. If you or a person looking for a COVID-19 test have symptoms, contact your health care provider. To book an appointment, go to www.sccfreetest.org or directly at https://scl.fulgentgenetics.com/appointment. Future test dates include February 17. The CDC and Santa Clara County Public Health Department recommend all essential workers be tested at least monthly for COVID-19. You may be tested more often. Testing should not be considered a free pass to gather with family or friends, and Public Health Officials have advised against travel and gathering outside your immediate household. Nonessential travel is not recommended. If you travel 120 miles from home, it is required by the State of California that you self-quarantine for 10 days after your return. REMINDER: The best way to protect yourself, your family, and others you may care about: Wash your hands frequently or use hand sanitizer Wear a face covering when in public buildings, in line at businesses, and whenever distancing cannot be maintained Maintain a minimum six-foot distance between others not in your immediate household. More distance is better When conducting contact tracing, the CDC defines a close contact as anyone within six-feet of a known or suspected case for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period.
