ALAMEDA, CA — An Oakland man, Traivonne Howard, has been arrested in connection to a string of armed robberies and thefts in Alameda, the Alameda Police Department reports.
"APD detectives learned the Alameda County District Attorney's office would be filing the following charges against Howard:" police said in a press release, "two counts of armed robbery, two counts of grand theft, and three counts of shoplifting. These charges are all in connection with the crimes that occurred in the City of Alameda."
The thefts and armed robberies happened between Nov. 29 and Jan. 8.
The Walgreens on Otis Drive, the Walgreens on Webster Street, and the CVS on Island Drive were all hit.
Alameda Police Detectives determined that one man was connected to seven Alameda cases.The detectives worked with other police departments and the FBI to identify Howard. Police say he is believed to be responsible for robberies and thefts n other cities.
Howard was arrested on Jan. 12 in Oakland by their officers.
