Need help opening a car door

I have a 2009 VW New Beetle that has damage to the passenger door. I was involved in a minor accident. It is bent inward in the middle (I can send photos if we get that far). The door is jammed pretty good and I just want it removed without doing damage to the vehicle. A come along or similar device may be needed. I know the proper way to do it is to go to a body shop, but I don't have that kind of money versus the value of the vehicle. If you or someone that you know has any experience or ideas I would be greatly appreciative. Willing to negotiate a fair price. Please reply at your earliest convenience.
