Friday, January 29, 2021 4:28 PM Philadelphia Craigslist is a platform where I can reach out to my local community to ask its members for their input (I live in Lansdowne and I refuse to do any social media). The American People need a government that represents their interests. Noam Chomsky explains that without a popular movement, the concerns of regular people will not be addressed from the top-down. Social, political, economic, racial, gender, and environmental justice reform measures are only realized when bottom-up organized popular movements demand action from their government. The two party political system has failed the American People. Our voices need to heard in the form of political pressure applied by a popular uprising. An uprising that speaks for our interests, the interests of the overwhelming majority of the American people, and not for either political party or their donors. We all know that the only reason we have Joe Biden is because the current political system wouldn’t let us have Bernie Sanders. I am extremely skeptical of that system in general, and Joe Biden in particular. Moreover, I am afraid that we can’t afford to wait and see what happens next. For these reasons, I am asking for input. If I were willing to devote my time and energy and resources to the project, could I organize a popular movement? If you can help me, I want to hear from you.
