Quincy City Receives Disaster Response/ Mobile Command Vehicle

Press release from the City of Quincy: January 27, 2021 The City of Quincy Office of Emergency Management recently received a new Disaster Response/Mobile Command Center Vehicle. The vehicle features state of the art communications and information sharing systems, and is designed to support emergency response, continuity, and crisis management activities. The vehicle will be available to both the Quincy Police and Fire Departments in support of contingency operations. Funding for the vehicle was made possible due to grants awarded to the city through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI), and the FEMA Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG) programs. Emergency Management Director Ally Sleiman facilitated the procurement of the vehicle, and credited Lt. Robert Gillan and Officer Ken Wood of the Quincy Police Department for their assistance in acquiring and building the vehicle. This press release was produced by the City of Quincy.
