NEW HYDE PARK, NY — One person was injured after a car struck ShopRite on New Hyde Park Road in New Hyde Park Thursday, Nassau County police said. A police spokesman said that officers were notified of the crash at about 10:13 a.m. One person suffered minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital, police said. Inspectors from the Town of North Hempstead Building Department also responded to evaluate the damage caused by the crash, police said. No further information was immediately available.
