Show your appreciation for our heroes and enjoy a luminated walk on the Friday before Valentine's Day! The Woodridge Park District's Hearts for Heroes Luminary Walk from 6:00-8:00 pm on Friday, February 12 is open to public and no registration is required. Park at the Fred C. Hohnke Community Center, 2600 Center Drive, and follow the illuminated path full of paper lanterns to Lake Harriet. Want to dedicate a luminary bag to your favorite hero? Luminary bags can be picked up at the ARC front desk beginning Friday, January 29 to decorate with markers/stickers/paint and include a shout-out to your child's teacher, a healthcare worker or anyone who is a hero in your life. Please return the bags by 6:00 PM on Thursday, February 11 to be included in the walk (while supplies last).
