The Bruins defeated the Penguins, 3-2, Tuesday in overtime, but O'Connor made an impact. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound forward assisted on a Jason Zucker goal in the third period. O'Connor's assist helped the Penguins force overtime, extending their point streak to five games because of the overtime loss.
O'Connor played 10 minutes, 51 seconds in the match.
Before the NHL season, the 22-year-old played in Norway for Manglerud. He recorded six goals, four assists and 10 points overseas. At Dartmouth, O'Connor earned NCAA Ivy League Player of the Year for the 2019-20 season.
