Menagerie sweeps literary contests

Last year's edition of Lyons Township High School's literary magazine, Menagerie, was earned several awards recently. Congratulations to Editors-in-Chief Class of '20 Eleanor Keelan, of LaGrange, current senior Juliette Lopez, of LaGrange Park, and the entire staff. The American Scholastic Press Association named Menagerie "Most Outstanding High School General Magazine for 2020" and "First Place with Special Merit" – the only school in the country to win both. The Columbia Scholastic Press Association named it a finalist for a Crown Award (LT's first); Gold and Silver Crowns are expected to be announced in March. Even more impressive was that the magazine was almost entirely designed by students during the stay-at-home order last March!
