Kokedama (Ko-ka-DAH-ma) is a unique and beautiful Japanese garden art where moss and soil are shaped into a round root ball that is bound with twine. No need for a lot. The result arrangement can be suspended, stood upon a tripod, or placed in a table arrangement. It is associated with the beauty and tranquility of bonsai. The atmosphere is relaxed, fun and appropriate for all experience levels. You’ll also receive information on kokedama care, and creative ways to display your kokedama. You will leave also with a tray and some rocks decorations for your kokedamas to sit from time to time as a centerpiece. We will enjoy light refreshments during a class break. Bring your own alcoholic beverage if you wish! We will offer tacos from Blue Moon Cafe or coffee and dessert from Rude Awakening as an add on. As with all our Made by Me Classes, you will enjoy a 20 % discount in our Turner Lane retail store when you shop during the class event. ^ Face masks are required. We follow CDC Guidelines. Each workshop attendee has tools and space that is not shared with others. All workshop surfaces and tools are cleaned prior to use. The store is well ventilated as the doors will be open to allow for the air circulation. Due to cost of supplies purchased and the use of live plants, there are no refunds for missed workshops.
