Bowen's Heart, feature-length documentary film. (Selection of the Nashville Film Festival & featured on GMA.) This feature-length documentary film follows eight-year-old Bowen Hammitt through his third open heart surgery, his family caught in the tension of knowing the surgery could make things better, or much worse. Bowen's Heart offers a deeply vulnerable view of how chronic illness impacts an entire family, forcing them to ask, "Is it worth giving your heart to something that can break it?" This screening will be hosted by Bowen and his family. Bowen's dad, Matt Hammitt, was the founding lead singer of 2x Grammy nominated band, Sanctus Real.
