LEVITTOWN, PA — It didn't generate as much excitement as the record lottery prizes that were up for grabs last week. But Wednesday night's Powerball drawing was a good one for somebody in Levittown.
A winning ticket worth $150,000 was sold at a local gas station, Pennsylvania Lottery officials announced. The ticket matched four of the five white balls drawn — 17-33-35-42-52 — and the red Powerball, which was a 9.
The person who bought the ticket paid for the $1 Power Play option, which triples what would have been a $50,000 prize.
The ticket was sold at Speedy Gas Mart, at 5901 Mill Creek Rd. in Levittown. The store earned a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
Pennsylvania Lottery winners have one year from the drawing date to claim their prizes. The holder of the winning ticket should sign the back of the ticket and contact the nearest lottery office.
No one won Wednesday's Powerball jackpot, which rolled over to a value of $30 million, or $22.5 million cash, for Saturday's drawing.
