Description
STRONGSVILLE, OH — The Ehrnfelt Senior Center will be closed through at least Jan. 31 due to a possible COVID-19 exposure, the city announced.
The facility was first closed on Jan. 22 and will remain closed through the end of the month. City officials said they want to take "extreme precautions" to prevent the virus spread through their facility and to one of their members.
An employee at the Senior Center tested positive for COVID-19, prompting the facility closure, a city official told Patch. Other employees of the Senior Center have been asked to quarantine for two weeks and that portion of the building will be temporarily closed.
The Strongsville Recreation Center remains open to the public.
However, since the Senior Center operates the kitchen, daily lunches have been suspended and the Crossroads Café, which offers weekday breakfasts, has been closed.
