DOUGLASVILLE, GA — Douglasville Police Department and the Atlanta Community Food Bank are partnering up to help feed families facing food insecurity next month. The police department said its "free food drive-thru" event will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 16. To receive food, a person must only enter the drive-thru line at Douglasville Police Department. The distribution is first-come, first-served, meaning distribution will continue until no food is left. Upon entering the line, drivers will first speak with a volunteer before continuing to the food distribution area. Boxes of food will be placed either in the trunk or back seat of a car, police said. No contact is necessary to participate in the event. The department said questions and concerns regarding the food distribution event can be directed to Sgt.
