Description
Meet Mylo, our super intelligent, agile and energetic one year old border collie puppy. He is young, handsome, affectionate and loves cuddles and tummy rubs. We’ve had him since he was 12 weeks old. He is a smooth haired border collie and has all the markings of a pure breed, but we don’t have any AKC paperwork. We have all his vaccination records which are current and up to date.
Mylo has not yet been neutered and is beginning to show more male characteristics and behaviors. He is mostly housetrained and has also attended two obedience training classes at the ARL. He’s making good progress with basic commands like sit, stay etc.
The main reason we are looking to rehome him is because we have learned more about the border collie breed, and realize that we don’t have the right environment for him. We now see his sheep herding/work dog instincts and the need for him to fulfill that purpose. He will likely become a more domesticated house dog as he settles down when he gets older. For now, he needs an active work environment, likely a farm or outdoor work space in which to use his incredible intelligence and natural instincts to its full potential. We are not in a rush to rehome him and are looking for the right owner for him. A rehoming fee of $250 will apply. Serious inquiries only.
