In this class you will learn how to make a basket using pine needles. Basket weaving is a skill that our ancestors, across all geographic locations, possessed and a product that people still use today. have had many uses: storage, cooking in, carrying items, decoration, etc. Pine needle baskets are made by using a coiling technique with a needle and thread. It is a fine motor skill that requires a bit of dexterity and leaves plenty of room for creativity. Meet Your Instructor// Sabrina has a collection of skillsets including teaching movement modalities, educating children in nature, basket weaving, and an insatiable curiosity to learn more. It is through her curiosity that she has discovered many different passions in many areas of life. An educator at heart, Sabrina enjoys sharing her passions with the world and loves teaching individuals to embrace their own curiosity and to welcome the mistakes that are part of that process.
