MEDFORD, MA — Medford students are invited to submit a poem for the 2021 Mustang Poetry Contest. Superintendent Marice Edouard-Vincent was inspired by inauguration poet Amanda Gorman, who performed for Medford middle schoolers in 2019. Guidelines: Poems are to be written on the theme of unity.Poems can be written in any style or format.It is suggested that the poems be ten lines or fewer.Students of all grade levels are encouraged to participate.You are welcome to include art with your poems.Deadline: Monday, Feb. 22, 2021Please email your submission to: [email protected] Winners will be invited to read their poems via Zoom at the March 8 School Committee Meeting. Other poems will be shared on the Medford Public Schools Website.
