BOULDER, CO — A Boulder rehabilitation counselor has been charged in the sexual assault of a patient. Detectives believe that more people may have been targeted, the Boulder Police Department said.
Jose Yepes, 48, was charged with indecent exposure, stalking and unlawful sexual contact, police said. Police arrested Yepes at his home in Lafayette and took him to the Boulder County Jail.
Yepes worked as a milieu counselor at the Mental Health Partners Warner House facility at 2833 Broadway, police said. He counseled people who were experiencing substance abuse issues.
A woman said that her attacker "repeatedly contacted her and initiated contacts that were sexual in nature" throughout November, according to a news release from the Boulder Police Department.
Yepes lost his job after an investigation was launched, police said.
