Press release from the Town of Islip: Jan. 26, 2021 Islip Town officials welcomed the arrival of a refrigerated van which will be used to transport meals to homebound senior citizens during the COVID-19 pandemic. Supplemental funding for the van and other COVID-related resources, including shelf-stable meals, PPE supplies and equipment at the Town's Senior Centers, was made available by the Islip CDA through HUD under the CARES Act. "We are grateful to our partners at the Islip CDA, who have continued to provide funding that promotes the health, safety and well-being of our residents," said Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter.
