UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A fire broke out Wednesday morning in a high-rise residential building on the Upper West Side, according to the FDNY. The flames ignited around 9:26 a.m. inside a building at 65 Central Park West, between 66th and 67th Streets, said the FDNY. A total of 78 firefighters were called to the scene to battle the flames, which they had under control by 10:18 a.m., a FDNY spokesperson told Patch. However, three people were hurt during the process, one resident and two firefighters, according to the FDNY. The spokesperson did not specify the severity of their injuries.
