Hemi has been missing since the night of September 17, 2018, so I know the likelihood of finding him is very low, but we miss him terribly and still can't bring ourselves to stop looking for him.
He has a black and tan marbled fur coat with white fur from his chin through his stomach area. He also has white feet, which may be dirty from being outdoors and appear a different color. Distinct markings would be a freckle on his nose and a number 6 design on his outer left thigh area (shown in the provided pictures).
Hemi chose to spend the majority of his time lounging and exploring the outdoors, but knew his way around our Shadowbrook community (closest to El Camino Real) and returned home every night. He's friendly and may have been taken by someone who assumed he was a stray, or was scared off into a neighboring community that he wasn't familiar with and became lost. He really could be anywhere after 2 years-- even in surrounding cities, but the closest areas to our home would be the Shadowbrook communities near El Camino Real and Bryan Ave, Rancho Alisal Apartments, Sycamore Glen Condos, around Utt Middle School, or the Tustin Market Place shopping area. We've explored the mentioned communities and various locations multiple times on foot, while calling his name and shaking a box of his favorite treats, but he may have been too scared to emerge from hiding. Hemi also liked to hop in vehicles to check them out, so he could've gotten himself in trouble and wound up far from home.
Please let me know if you've seen him. He has a sensitive right hip/outer thigh area, due to a past surgery, so please be gentle if you pick him up.
Thanks!
Kelly
