Description

A new way to do an old favorite! A new way to do an old favorite! Have you been doing a closet clean-out in the new year and have some clothes that need a new home? Or are you stoked to get an early start on revamping your spring wardrobe in a cheap and environmentally friendly way? Join us the first in February for a Giant Vessel Clothing Swap! Here's how it works: - Go through your wardrobe and collect any clothes/jewelry/accessories that you're ready to part with. - Wash the clothes and keep them in a bag, untouched for at least 24 hours. - Drop off your gently loved clothes/jewelry/accessories at the Vessel anytime before January 31. - Starting February 1-7: Drop by the Vessel anytime to go through the organized piles of clothes and try on something new! Take anything home with you to give it new life in your closet for free! - At the end of the swap, you'll have 48 hours to pick up anything you originally brought in that wasn't claimed during the swap. - On February 10th, any unclaimed clothes (and clothes that weren't taken back) will be donated to Rose Haven Shelter, Portland Rescue Mission or Goodwill (depending on what is needed at each shelter- we will prioritize shelters before going to Goodwill). Rules: - Anyone can participate in the swap even if you don't have any of your own used clothes to contribute (although it's always more fun when everyone brings something to the swap!). - There is no limit to how many items you take or bring. - Please wash your hands or sanitize your hands before and after touching any of the items. - You may try clothes on, but we recommend showering shortly afterwards and washing any clothes you bring home before wearing.
