MEDFORD, MA — Medford resident and professional motivational speaker Eric Daddario will host a community forum this week on managing stress through difficult times. Daddario travels throughout the country speaking primarily to middle and high school students, encouraging them to advocate for themselves and providing tools and tips on how to ask for help. The forum will be hosted live over Zoom this Wednesday, Jan. 27 at 6 p.m. Daddario's presentation will be for residents and families of all ages. Since some difficult topics may be covered, adult supervision for younger residents is suggested. "Navigating school, work, extracurricular activities, and absorbing news and information is challenging for anyone in a normal year, but with so many added stressors and changes to our daily lives this past year, it's natural for people to be dealing with stress and anxiety," Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn said. "Eric Daddario is a great motivational speaker who draws on his own experiences and works to give people the tools and the courage to ask for help. Given all that is going on – for all of us – right now, I invited Eric to come and speak here in his hometown." The forum will also be broadcast live on Public Access (channel 3 on Comcast, channel 47 on Verizon). To access the Zoom link, visit www.medfordma.org, and click on "Events Calendar." If time allows, a virtual question and answer session will follow Daddario's presentation. The forum will be rebroadcast on Medford Community Media after Jan. 27. "I'm excited to be able to bring this program to my home city of Medford," Daddario said in a statement. "The last year has been difficult in so many ways and I want to show that speaking up and asking for help is a strength and not a sign of weakness, it shows how truly strong you are. We all need help at some point, and I hope that reinforcing this message can help others through anything they might be experiencing."
