Jazz under the Spire Music Under the Spire proudly presents a series of three outdoor jazz concerts: April 24, May 15, and June 5. Back by popular demand, Svetlana and the Delancey Five make their return trip to Southport. Led by vocalist Svetlana Shmulyian, the internationally-known quintet plays a high-energy combination of 1920s-40s jazz and swing standards along with contemporary original music, all backed by the band members' harmonizing and virtuoso instrumentals. Svetlana and the Delancey Five has headlined many sold-out shows in the US, including such premier venues as the Blue Note, Iridium, and Joe's Pub. The band has toured internationally, appeared on national and international TV programs, and been featured in numerous news and music publications, including the Wall Street Journal, Huffington Post, All About Jazz, Broadway World, and more.
